Rang and asked to speak (said my name) said he was from Direct Insurance about a product I bought from Argos a freezer, which I had. He said he was checking to find out if my details are still correct. I became suspicious because it is 7.25pm and said nothing has changed, he asked from 2018 and I said yes. He went off the line quickly. Caller: Direct Insurance

Pretend to be Domestic and General. Can tell you makes of what machines we have but when asked to confirm proof that this is a bona fide call, Such as models or ask for your account number, They claim they cant because of data protection!! This is the second time in three weeks they have rung and it is a scam!!!!

Received a call tonight from the above number. I could clearly hear the clicking as the lines were switched. Male caller introduced himself as calling from Argos and to discuss details about insurance I purchased not long ago. Then he really hard tried to find out what the insurance is about. At that point I refused to give him any information (if genuine call he should have it in front of him} and told him clearly that I suspect a scam. He hung up. Don't give any information to those people.
