With all the tracking info now being used by phone companies and government agencies one would think this would be an easy case for an investigator to pursue !

I got a text message telling me an Achieve card was blocked due to fraud. I don't have an Achieve card so out of curiosity I looked up Achieve card. It is a prepaid card. My husband just got the same message about 5 minutes after I did. There is one more cell phone on this account so I am sure he got the same text.

FYI... I was successful in requesting the termination of this fraud ivr. The carrier was bandwidth.com Please only give ur information out to the number printed on the back of ur cards. Never reply to a txt phone or website with personal information.This was an attempt to steal ur money and Id. Theft is the word.

Call was supposed to be from 706-726-2221 which is a local number for rescuing Boston terriers and has a name attached to the number. The fraud issue also says to call 762-222-1097 regarding the Achieve Card that was blocked due to fraud. That number was identified as a local land line, but I'm not planning to pay to find out who it belongs to.

AchieveCard blocked. My Husband and I both got text today on Verizon account cell phones. I called the number, automated message that prompts you to put in your prepaid visa card number... We do not have such a card. I tried several false numbers in attempt to get a real person on the line but was unsuccessful.

I received the same sort of text today asking me to call 602.365.0532. The text read: (AC Cardholder Services Alert. Call: 602 365 0532. [441858##########]De-Activated.) I don't have a prepaid Visa card with Achieve. For kicks and grins I called the number only to be connected to an automated system, what else. Was not given a chance to speak with anyone so I just disregarded it. What a crock!

Got same messages as everyone else, while overseas. Did a little more research and its not even a US firm, 762 number is bogus, actual company/entity is located in PHILIPPINES, RIZAL DISTRICT. Definitely don't waste your time or provide any personal info.

Same text I just rec'd for the 2nd time in 3 days. left complaint on the number that called and this the number they want me to call. The Fraud they mention in text is them sending out this c**p. Just delete the message. Don't look for the government to do anything unless our elected (non)representatives start to get these. Maybe we should all forward these to our representatives. that may get some results.
