They are actual debt collectors (Aldous and Associates), but their claims are INVALID. 2018 Verizon SCAM confirms Jet Pack and Humm are owned by Verizon, they are not individual companies. If a contract was breached, it'd be handled through Verizon, not a third party. Verizon also confirms, no contract was breached, account is in clear standing. Their database was hacked in 2017, so maybe that's one way customer information was found. I heard they are nice if you pay them, of course they will be, you just fell into their trap. Do not pay these fools, you are only buying them a free lunch and dinner. Complete SCAM. Also watch out for the IRS scam. Admit nothing and report them both. Also, most collection will contact you by mail at first, not phone. I have received no such letters on the Verizon scam. I've heard that some people have, and it looks like some terrible photocopy that has been circulated over and over again. I haven't heard of anyone credit actually being affected, if it were ... you can get it removed with a well written letter to the credit companies. BEWARE! You owe theses crooks nothing.
