I got an email from a company claiming to be ORNL fraud prevention services and in that email they claim they are verifying a charge of $80 to my card ending in ****. They include the phone number in question as a call back number to verify or dispute the charge. They say the number / fraud department is available 24/7. Charge is not showing on my statement so I think I'll pass and call the bank in the morning

Have received several calls from this number, and after checking my account could not find evidence of any fraudulent activity on my account. Scam, don't go for it.

This is a legit call. Ornl fraud division. Call them back. They watch so no one puts charges on your card. LEGIT!!

Claimed to be ORNL fraud Dept.Checked the ORNL web site. There is no number or dept.matching the caller claiming to be the ORNL fraud department. Called twice in one day. On a Sunday!

Claimed to be ORNL Fraud Department. I cross checked this number with the ORNL website and I did not find that number listed anywhere. It seemed reasonable when they read out my name and the last four digits on my card. I almost fell for it.

got a message as I was not home at the time the call came in. They called twice since then but I do not answer when there is no name on the caller ID except UNKNOWN CALLER as was on these calls. They had my last 4 digits of my card, but this is a card I have not used in at least 6 weeks. Too late to call the Credit Union but will do so tomorrow to ask if this is a legitimate call. I don't think it is.
