Lady said she was from State Farm, and said that I was the guarantor on my 'father's' account. Last name was supposedly Whitt or Witte, and that my sister's name was Jennifer. I don't have any sisters... And my maiden and married names are definitely not Whitt, or even anything close. She said the claim was for back in June, and that she had had to call my husband to get my phone number from him. When I told her I wanted to talk to my husband and verify, she gave me no information to reach her with, and never gave me a claim number. I called the number back, and the message you had to listen to is one of a State Farm claims center, but the lady I spoke to had no info that would have led them to call me for someone's claim. The number is also an Unknown/unavailable number when searched through White Pages. When I looked it up on State Farm's official website, this number was not listed anywhere. Seems very suspicious, so I did turn it in to the National Insurance Fraud hotline.
