Obviously a scam since I do not have a NFCU card

I got the same text and immediately checked my card, then texted my son. Apparently it is a legitimate text. He called Navy Federal directly and they said yes that a charge for $500 had been declined on his card.

Received a fraud alert from NFCU from 33748 telling us about a suspicious charge, reply yes or call 1-844-640-1861. It looked a little fishy, so I did some research here and called NFCU on their listed phone number. They confirmed the details of the text so I had to close the card. I've seen a few comments that this is a scam. It still may be on case by case basis if the numbers been hacked. My suggestion, call NFCU on their listed phone number.

Received text message from Navy Federal Credit Union for a possible fraudulent charge to my account. I called NFCU and the text message was legitimate. Glad they texted me!

trying to find out about unauthorized usage of my credit card.

i received this call not once but twice last time it was a call from my local police department.. only problem was was he was Hispanic an I know for a fact that it doesn't show up the way it does on my caller id 563-202-5013it said I own thousand of dollars an I have 4 warrents out for my arrest. I also found that other in my area have received the same call

Is this Legit or a scam

Received a text asking about a fraudulent purchase. Rather than a reply, I called NFCU. Sure enough, someone has been trying to use my card all day. Thank goodness NFCU was proactive. This text is legitimate.

Received a text to call this number regarding a possible fraudulent transaction on my debit card. I was suspicious that this was a phishing scam, so we called the main Navy Federal customer service number and they confirmed this was a legitimate number dedicated to their fraud prevention department.

Received a text message alerting to possible fraud in Navy Fed debit card. I did not call this number, which was provided in the text, and called NFCU number from their website. They confirmed the fraud alert was legitimate and were able to deny the transactions and cancel my card before any money was lost.

I can confirm this persons authentication of this text message with call back. I verified this by calling the number and ask the nfcu rep to send me a message to my account on nfcu website account access. the message with the incident # fraud appeared on the nfcu website of my account which is independent verification apart from the text message.

Fake text asking if I recently spent $167 on Amazon. Little do they know my Navy Federal isn't on my Amazon. They attached a phone number to call if I hadn't or said to text back yes or no.

Someone texted me with a link asking if I used my card to purchase something from CTF for 39.99 early in the morning around 5:30am. I responded no, and dialed the number and the call dropped on the first time the phone rang, so I blocked this number.

Same as the others, text and a call about a fraudulent draw on a nfcu card. Thing is I don't have a card through them.

No, reply 2. STOP to opt out. HELP: 1-844-640-1861. Turns out someone likely skimmed my card and used my card info to make an $8 payment in TN at 6AM. I am glad I checked it out. Hope the thief burns in h**l!

Responded '2'. received human phone call of area code (703) Vienna,VA. Stopped my old card # on the phone right away; received a new card fedex next day.

This text got sent to me: ' NFCU FREE ALERT: Did you use card ending in **** at SP * FRAGANCIA.C on 08/03/21 for $90.00? Reply: Yes, No or call 1-844-640-1861. Txt STOP to opt-out. ' It was my card number but I called Navy Federal and it was a fraudulent number. The representative informed me to NOT respond whatsoever and that this is a scam number.

Recieved a text message to call this # and I am seeing this is a scam according to other comments.

I have confirmed that this absolutely is Navy Federal Credit Union's credit card fraud report number. Received a text with this number to call, informing me that someone tried to charge over $800 on my credit card. I responded to this number, but I also followed up with a call to NFCU to verify that the number is legit. It is!

I got same text as everyone else so I followed up with navy fed and it is 100% legit!! Someone tried to charge $599 at Home Depot but navy fed out stop to it.

Saying I used my card

This was navyfed, i even called their other number to confirm.

I received the same text from 337-48. They tried to scam me but the only problem was I don't have a card ending in 1245 or anywhere close to those numbers. That is not NFCU Fraud number. Their number is 888-842-6328. I spoke to a rep at the bank and she confirmed the number in the text was not theirs and to not respond to that text & to block that number immediately.

This is legit. The comments made me nervous so I used another number to call them... then I asked them to confirm the contents of the text.

I received at text saying a charge had been made to my account for $157 and if it wasn't me to call this 1800 number so first I checked my account no money missing no scheduled transactions and then I Google the 1800 number and found out it was fraud so glad I looked into it!
