same as above. recently opened lowes account and received this call with a request to return phone call to a different number. when I called that number it was an automated message asking me to enter my phone number in over and over. rediculous

This number (855-702-4136) called in regards to my Lowe's Advantage credit card. It was a robo call and asked me to call back to a different number (888-532-8744).

Similar to others posted here. Automated message to call back at 888-532-8743. Automated answer Id's as Synchrony Bank and kept asking me to enter my tel. Number. I recently got a Lowe's card.

same as others, recently opened Lowes acct,extremely annoying. called back and asked whether I would be getting another 'Welcoming' call. Brandy with Synchrony says 'Gee, I don't know'me: 'well Brandy, since it IS Synchrony that called (not Lowes) you can tell them that I will be cancelling the card effective immediately. Have a Great Day!'Anyone else reading this who feels just as annoyed as I do should cancel the card and then call Lowe's to tell them WHY you are cancelling the card. Lowe's should then put the clamps on these [***] if they don't want their customers pissed off. It's the only way to it through the thick heads of these banking idiots not to pull this kind of crap-tastic stunts.

Robocall said something like “Hello, this is a courtesy call....” then went silent. We have recently got a Lowe’s credit card.

I just got a call from this exact number to call another number at my earliest convenience. Thought that was very odd so I decided to Google this issue. I did just open a Lowe's credit card account 2 weeks ago and purchased some appliances. I am curious like another commenter said...how are they getting our phone numbers? Well...based on what I'm reading here...I definitely won't be calln anybody. Thanks for the comments everyone!

I received a new Lowe's Synchrony Bank card about 2 weeks ago. Today, 08/16/2018 I received a robo call from 855-702-4136 stating the following, 'This is Lowe's at Synchrony Bank calling about your new Lowe's Card. Please call us back at 888-532-8744 at your earliest convenience'. I contacted both Lowe's and Synchrony Bank and they told me that they have no knowledge of any such call. Once again, a scam call. I would advise anyone getting a call to disregard the call since there is no way to verify who they actually are.

Never give a random caller personal information of any sort! Scammers spoof legitimate phone numbers all the time so you have no guarantee your caller us who they claim to be.

Received a phone call from 855-702-4136. Returned the call and caller said they were with Synchrony Bank and were giving me a welcoming call as a new recipient of the Lowe's Advantage Card. The caller asked which card I had recently opened, my phone number associated with the account, and the last 4 of my SS#. At this point I asked, why are you asking all of this to welcome me? At this point the caller said welcome, have a nice day, and ended the call.

I didn't answer but, I found comments about others getting a 'welcome' call after opening a Lowe's Advantage card. I got a Lowe's Advantage card last week and would not expect or want a phone call.

Just received a lowes card, good thing I never plan on using it. From the comments it looks like a spam robo call, not sure how they are getting the phone numbers of customers but someone needs to check!

Called from 855-702-4136 told to call back 888-532-8744 .... call was from Sychrony about Lowe's credit card account recently opened. Whether or not this was a spam call....you should contact Lowe's and Synchrony Bank to see since the probability is high. Synchrony bank should be the bank 'supporting' your Lowe's credit card. They are at least so called 'sister' company. You can go to the Synchrony Financial website and look under their retailer locations and you can find Lowe's as one of the companies that a synchrony 'home' credit card is excepted. If you pull your credit and look for your Lowe's account you will find Synchrony Bank is attached to that credit inquiry. Again...whether or not the call you received was 'spam' you can find out by calling. I'm sure it has to do with Lowe's side not the Sychrony side...why I state this...Mattress Firm 'credit account' is 'supported' by Synchrony and I never received a call from Synchrony about opening that account, but I did receive one within two weeks of opening a Lowe's account.
