Said they were from the Alameda County District Atty's ofice and that they will come to my home or place of business... What a bunch of crock

I received this call today with the same pitch.

Melissa Johnston called me to let me know that 'I have two felony charges against me and tomorrow if I don't react to her call and return it (summed up) that she would have the sheriffs department accompany me to my home for my warrant and detainment.' No clue, but it's a scam folks. First off verbally telling you is NOT legal notification, secondly debtors prison was abolished in the nineteenth century, thirdly, call your police department and the PD of where they say they're from. Scam. Report them.

They are attempting a Direct TV scam calls from Bangladesh India.

Same. Got a text saying I could save 50% on my directv bill by calling this number. Did not respond. You have to be savvy to not get scammed these days.
