I just received a phone call @ 3:30pm - I'm @ work & can not answer. They left no voicemail, I applied for life insurance a few days ago (w/ Lincoln Benefit Life), but they should leave a message so you know it's legit like any legit business should/would do.

This a general call center for the life insurance companies. If you recently applied for life insurance, they are the ones that call you to ask the bazillion questions needed for the underwriter to determine if you qualify.

I picked up the phone but remained quiet. Man asked specifically for me.

They called my cell, too. But I haven't touched my insurance, and the insurance I have isn't through Allstate. My insurance calls my house and leaves a message like any good company should.

I bought a life insurance from State Farm week ago and I got a call twice from this agent saying they are calling behalf of State farm Insurance. They want it my medical history for survey. I ask the women her name is Monique why is this your business? She said they need to know because state farm told them. I said it is not their business. I said you tell me your last name too she would't give last name just her first name. I said you called me and I have no right to know your last name? I told her my caller ID is showing your number does not say state farm. She said if you do not want to tell me go to state farm and tell them. I told my state farm my medical history when I bought insurance. Why they need to know over the phone again? Life Insurance is personal matter it is no ones business.

Signed up for State Farm life insurance. They called from this number to ask me about antibiotics I was on. No biggie. It was a legit call.

My call was from Allstate Life. I guess that it's all hooked up to some life insurance or another by the look of all the posts.

same here...part of my life insurance change. They always do a background assessment to determine eligibility for the insurance. I'm sure it is a contractor hired by many insurance companies.

State Farm Life Insurance.... calling to verify the information I submitted for my new policy.

I received a call from this number. It was the underwriters for a new insurance policy I had applied for with Assurity. The phone interview was part of my application process. It was a legitimate call that was expected, in my case.

This number called my cell phone....I never applied for life insurance or any type of insurance. Are they calling a wrong number or what?

I didn't answer and a voice mail was left from a robot (or maybe a just a recording). The voice began in the middle of some recorded voice saying I needed to call them at some other number. Seemed fishy at the time--did I mention it was about 8:30 in the evening? We did just apply for life insurance, but please don't have your robots calling me at 8:30 or at all really.
