This number called me over 3 years ago and now it's starting up again. A person used to live here and used my phone number and now I get harassed on their behalf.

Repetitive calling. 20+ times this month. Asking me to e-transfer them money for a dept that doesn't exist. I'm a minor.

No reason why they are calling.

These scammers are getting really tricky! Automated messages, file numbers....High Class BS!!! Do not call them back!

I got a call from 1-866-817-1294. The caller id just indicated Credit bureau of Canada as the name! I did took the call, but half message was robotic recording, and then half a message was a human speaking. They mentioned some file-number, and then a name of a person they want to reach - which is not even myself, and mentioned some random number to call them back. This seems a random BS. I have seen this number doesn't even belong to Credit Bureau of Canada first of.

Been calling me on and off for a year never answer it getting so sick of this s**t considering im only 18 and havent owed a dime in my life i can tell you this s**t is fake

Got a call today from thjs number. Claiming to he CRA currently talking to REAL CRA atm.

This need to stop every day this number calls me and it a robot caller and pronounce my name wrong saying it not a a sales call and gives me a reference number and to call back never called back and looking for a resolution

Was called twice in same day, did not answer as I was working and do not have voice mail on my phone.I called the number at 10 pm at night to see what it was. It was a recording saying they were the Credit bureau of canada.Yet the number showing is not the same when u look up the credit bureau of canada.Has anyone else been called by this number ?- 1-866-817-1294Is this a scam ???

They keep calling me over and over. They don't use my name, exact same message every time, not the same words- identical. Don't even bother, just block the number

I called it back and the lady wanted allKinda of information. Checked my Equifax and I'm fine.

Do not use any credit cards, which have been paid off and closed 7 years ago. I use debit only. Calls have started about a year ago and have been bothering me regularly. When I tried to pick up the phone and speak to someone, same massage keeps playing on.

This number keeps calling my business line and leaving a message that sounds part 'person' and part 'recording'. The message asks for a person who is no way connected with my business or my personal life to contact them. It's very frustrating as it ties up my business line and I can't get them to stop harassing me for a person I can't give them!

Dumb robotic voice said the wrong name as well as saying I'm in debt with some fake claim number. Have called me consistently for months now. Definitely a scam.

Keeps calling work about someone who doesn't work here anymore and there's no option to tell them 'so and so doesn't work here'

I just received a call saying that this is credit collections canada and to call them with a file number. I have tried 3 times and no answer. So I guess they don't want me that bad

By law in Ontario they are required to write to you and tell you: whom they are: for whom they are collecting & the amount of the ALLEGED.Always use ALLEGED. you are never required to admit the debt.

I dont have credit. Nor a credit card. Or debtsThis is definitely a fraud. Called the cops to be told that they call often , have been called last year aswellThey send fake automated voicecall and then treathen you of calling the cops if you dont pay your debts which. I dont have in the first place so. Also they arent even from this country.

Called my cell. Had my last name and city where I lived but had wrong first name. Claimed I owed money to city hall. When I said this was a scam call they got irate.

I have no idea who they are... But they knew my FULL name and middle initial , but I am well aware of everywhere that I owe money and i have a great credit rating... So I'm not really sure whats going on with this. I left a message and haven't heard back but I'm super sketched out right now.

Scam. They used to phone almost every day 12 years ago and now starting again. Though blocked, they still leave message. Called them again and told them they had wrong number then and now. Delete number or else.

Calling looking to collect for some unknown name. Waste of time probably scamming.

I am now bankrupt and this scum keeps calling me. They are in violation of the Bankruptcy Act but they know & don't give a d**n: there is not a court in this country that will take or allow concrete action against them. Saying they were calling from CRA in Toronto (1450 Myerside Dr.)

Call me with wrong name and when I call back. The guy answered and did not connect me to any real person for anything, simply bothering me for no reason. It is most likely a scam. Do not understand how we can allow this to continue like this.

I'd just like to point out that the actual phone number for the Credit Bureau is 1 (800)-256-8964. Soooo...

Okay, I'M BACK !!It's a FRAUD.. Don't tell them anything. Let them contact you by mail or NOTHING !!You don't even need to talk to them at all. Even if it is Canada Credit or whatever...Have a great day, folks !
