I did not answer but I called the number. It was a recording in Spanish so I hung up.

I just spoke with RBC now and they advised me that it IS NOT RBC calling. They would not ask for a birthrate!

I received a phone call repeatedly from 1-877-216-5027 saying it was Royal Bank with an important message for my about my banking. It asked for me by name and then asked for my birthday or Access ID. I never spoke with a human, just an automated machine. I hung up, and called RBC from a number I had on my banking card. There was nothing urgent that RBC was calling me about. I'm assuming it is a fraud call but am not positive.

That RBC bank is a pain in the neck. This kind of calling should be illegal and should also be stopped.

Non stop can I block them or sue to get money????

I am getting repeated taped phone calls in both English and French from 1-877-216-5027 saying they are the Royal Bank and they are calling me about a personal banking issue (they specifically use my name). Then they start asking me to press numbers to confirm personal information (postal code, date of birth). I did not confirm anything and they just keep calling back. Obviously Royal Bank would never do this...so how do we stop these kinds of calls???

robot, even says 'telemarketer call' at the beginning. eesh.

Non stop calls up to 5x a day. Driving me crazy, is there anywhere we can call to block them?

Number calls from 876-216-5027 saying to call 866-893-3295 (which is RBC collections) they have my name and say to call them back about an important banking matter

Scam.. do not send these people money. Your bank will always send you a letter directly.. not ask you to wire money because you did something wrong. Be viligent

May 29, 2018 - got a call from RBC with the request to call back; not going to call back, but am planning to visit a branch to clarify the reason of this call.

I got a call from this number saying it was RBC and that there's something wrong with my account. The robot said my name but that doesn't mean much. I don't have an account at RBC. Being a robo-call, I just hung up.

Automated system telling me I have failed to pay my car loan. I do not have a csr loan through RBC. Asking me to pay it and punch in my info.

I get this call too. I thought it was strange that the message still played while my answering machine was still playing my greeting, then hung up. As far as I can tell, if it's an urgent message from RBC, they will call me in person.

I believe RBC # is probably being used for scam.

I want to know why RBC is calling from a number that does not identify it as RBC when they are calling? On the message they give two different numbers to call back and mention it is not a telemarketing call.

Several calls a day, answering machine has picked it up twice. Asks by name myself & partner. Good thing its bogus. No longer have anything with RBC, this is the money they spend fot temp workers overseas.

Caller wants information and says 'Important Message from RBC'. It is computer operated so I hang up but this is constant and must stop.Harrassment is definitely the name for these people, it is definitely not the Royal Bank of Canada.

They are spoofing RBC's number, really just a scam.

Spoke with RBC collections at 1-866-893-3295RBC employee confirmed that they use Robocall that asks for a minimal amount of personal information.In my case, it gave me a choice of 3 postal codes to confirm.I noted my strenuous exception to it, and she promised to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Definitely scam - do not give out information. Hang up - call your bank to let them know this happened.

WE RECEIVED A CALL THIS MORNING, BUT MANAGED TO GET MY HUSBAND TO HANG UP ON THEM.. IT SAID IT WAS TO DO WITH MY ROYAL BANK ACCOUNT. Received two calls from this number. Robocall. My telephone has built-in call blocking for known numbers - enabled call blocking for this number.
