Barclay Card fraud unit.

I got a msg from this phone number saying it was the fraus unit from Upromise MasterCard.. I dont have a UPromise Mastercard. I decided to check here to see if anyone else has been getting these calls. I think it may be someone trying to steal identities..

Yep, it is the UPromise Anti Fraud Unit via Barclays Card calling to make sure that a transaction made on Gumdrop com was legit or not. Definitely comforting to know that an active monitor is on for transactions made via little known online outlets.

I received a call from this number - it really was Barclaycard Upromise Fraud Division. Someone used my card number to rack up 14 charges through Google Music in one day! The 15th one (Google Merchandise) was declined. This card has now been cancelled, and I have a new number with cards arriving soon via FedEx. Thanks for watching out for us!

Got call from them too. Legit number.

I received an email listing this number to call but was reluctant to do so. I just received a call from them and is is a legitimate call. Someone attempted to use my card illegally so they are closing the account and reissuing another. Many thanks to the card company who is so vigilant.

This time 877-215-2003 was legit from Barclaycard Upromise Mastercard fraud prevention. Caller ID label is 'UPROMMC'. It's an automated email to confirm large purchase was correct. Didn't ask to input any personal details, just confirm the amount was accurate. They also sent a follow-up email.

Received legitimate call from BarclayCard fraud unit.

I made a purchase online and within 1 minute I got a call from this number. Like most numbers I do not know I let it go to vm. Well it was my Upromise Mastercard calling to verify that I had made the recent transaction. It is great to know that they are monitoring purchases. I assume this was a purchase that originated overseas based on what I purchased. Again thanks Upromise.

If you know who called you, why did you come to a phone number look-up site?And just because the call was (supposedly) legitimate for you, doesn't mean it is for others. Phone numbers are too easily spoofed to trust a random caller asking for personal information. Best to not give any information but instead, hang up and call a known number for them.

Got unsolicited call to my phone number. My number is on the 'do-not-call' list.

When the credit card company calls you to check on charges that may be fraudulent, they are protecting themselves, not you, as they are generally liable for any fraud, not you. No need to thank them for helping themselves to make more profit at your expense.
