He attempted to sell me vacation packages, I gave him a fake credit card number knowing this was a scam ... He started to use bad & threatening language and within moments called back panting and called again with more of his aggressive anger.

They call about every 3 hours lol I just kept pushing on the '0' and the survey voice got all mixed up, I just never let the '0' go till it disconected the line. but you have to listine when you do this so you do not call your local operator by mistake. It will if you push '0' up and down, just hold and it wont. BTW they have not called since. they have an automated thing so it will call on a timer till you answer the survey you dont have to be forced. dont do it.

When calling this number back, it's a customer survey for calling into AT&T just based on me asking a question on my bill (no changes were made to my account) the previous day. They also called at 9 am on a Saturday morning! Very annoying to be woken up on a Saturday morning for this BS.

I don't answer 800 or 888 numbers, I always come here first to see who it was, most of the time it's scammers pretending to be charitable orginizations.This one IS AT&T survey call to follow up on a technicians performance. My phone line was recently out of order, turned out to be a short in the wiring inside my house and let me know.I fixed it myself as my service plan doesn't cover inside the home repair but the tech was very helpful.

Interesting, I called ATT twice yesterday for internet billing issues then received a call from this number early this morning. I didn't answer and they hung up leaving no message. Searched the number online and found this thread. Seems to be related to ATT somehow?! Will continue to ignore any more calls after reading these comments...

Just had wireless service about three weeks ago installed (had troubled this week when my landline would not work (too much to tell about my experience trying to call for help, in fact, a service tech was suppose to be at my house today between 10 am and 12:00 noon,, it is 12:43 and just got a call that the repairman will be here in 45 minutes ... AGGGGH!!... continue to get calls from this # which I blocked long ago!!! AT&T sucks.

I did not answer this number, as it did not show AT&T. However, I had made some changes in my service and had been advised that AT&T might be calling with a customer satisfaction survey. For companies like AT&T and any other doing legitimate business and not minding the person knowing who's calling, it would be good if they had name delivery, too, as well as number delivery.

This telephone number called me multiple times while I was at work and I couldn't answer so I let it go to voicemail and it never left a message. I finally called me back while I wasn't at work and I got a chance to answer, it was an automated message asking me to take a survey about my recent AT&T service. I blocked it and I suggest you do too.

Multiple calls. I never answer. 3 calls today. People, it's not from AT&T. They may KNOW who it is & are probably being paid because they say I can't BLOCK the nr since it's not in THEIR calling jurisdiction. I get told that by AT&T even when the call is two digits from being MY own ph nr! My sister who is AC: 707 and me 478 GOT calls using OUR OWN HOME PH nr ON the caller ID. They were scams. Somebody HELP???

This is AT&T calling regarding work that is or was being done to your phone or internet service. First call is seeing if anyone is home, or setting a time. Second call is IF they need to access your home to check lines. Third and final call is to see HOW the TECHNICIAN handled your problem. This one IS a pain as it's totally automated and you have to pick 1-5 for answers, no way to not agree with ONE of the options. (I KNOW, I just went through it last week!) Anyway, at the end of the call, it DOES allow you to leave comments (which I did). It is NOT telemarketing! or 'just a phone survey'. I agree that it should say AT&T rather than 'toll free call', but they're calling from phones in their truck, so I accept that.

Called while I was out; no message - which seems kind of ironic considering AT&T provides my voicemail. I called AT&T yesterday to make a change to my plan and things went very well, so I would have been more than willing to talk to the survey people -- but not when they can't be bothered letting 'AT&T' show up on my caller ID. No doubt they're using one of those outside services to call on their behalf... all the more reason for me to ignore the call.

I also recived a call from this number, They only show 'a number'. I did not answer the phone. I do not have any service with ATT. (I am not sure who it is other posts say it is ATT) I have the block that rejects calls that do not identify who is calling, having said that callers have to call back after they unblock their number this was done hiding their name showing as 'not provided' in the area where the name whould be. Silly not sure why ATT would call me? My only thought is they are 'marketing'. If you are on the DO NOT CALL LIST this is how they do it to not get in trouble. Many bussiness know how to fool the system and get through.

I agree with Ginger. I usually don't answer unidentified calls either, but I answered this one. I just changed my service with AT&T which was a grueling experience. When I realized it was AT&T follow-up call, I hung up. If this matters to AT&T, they should not be 'shy' about identifying themselves!
