Just received message from an American sounding lady saying she was from HMRC and I was been taken to court. Good job I looked on this web site as I thought it was a scam, people beware.

I got this call. I knew straight away it was a scam. Told them to P*** off and take me to court, then hung up. I have call protect - a wonderful service! So now that number is barred no doubt they will use other numbers once they know they are rumbled. My advice is hang up on all these sorts of calls and bar the number if you can.

Also just received the call from an American lady, HMRC using an American voice?? The call back number is soooo close the the real HMRC number, it could easily be mistaken for a number associated with the tax office. BEWARE!!!!

Had a phone call from this number today 1st sept 2017 saying that it was the HMCR saying i had a lawsuit against me, i put the phone down straightaway, it was an automated service, which sounded. Like an american accent. I was alarmed at first, but thanks to this site, i know it was a scam, i still feel sick to the stomach through this. I have mental health issues and im scared....i should not have answered this call.

Just had an automotive call showing this number saying they were from HMRC. They left a number for me to return the call. My husband is former Policeman and told me to ignore. There a lot of vulnerable people out there that will rake this as genuine. These people have no shame.

Called today at 10.42 and left two other numbers. The recorded message can be scary as it says there is a lawsuit against you. My first reaction was to check the numbers out on unknownphone.com. Thanks to others comments I was reasured it was a scam. Thanks everyone.The other numbers were 02033222768 & 02033224283

This number left message on land line saying that a law suit was being taken out .They left contact numbers haha scammers. The caller was a lady with strong American accent

Spoke to someone on this phone number today they knew my name and address and wanted me to verify my date of birth to them but I just said if they knew who I was then they had all my details so why would I need to give them any info! Said they couldn't then give out any details of why they are contacting me as they needed me to verify who I was , told me to hang up and visit Hmrc website as I would then find out why? I think they realised they weren't going to get anywhere!

Received a call from this number today...pressed one...line went dead...these people behind these calls need to be prosecuted ...scaremongering and fraud!! Vile scum

This has just happened to me also, same message re lawsuit by HMRC.It made me feel sick and confused for a few minutes until I decided to check it out. It is a disgrace that they are allowed to get away with doing this kind of thing, can nothing be done at higher levels about this scam? More vulnerable members of society need to be protected, I do not consider myself to be vulnerable and even I had a few unpleasant minutes of emotions and confusion.

Received call today at 1050am did not know number so did not pick up. Received voice call saying HMRC had lawsuit against me. Very alarming also provided 2 numbers to call back. Did not do but checked number on unknown phone proved to be a scam. But how many older people would ring back. This number needs to be blocked by all telecom services ASAP.

I Put the phone down but still made me wonder thankfully googled the number and eureka I was not the only one to receive this scam number.

Phoned my mobile out of the blue an Asian called Peter Wilson from a call centre knew straight away was a scam can't understand why the phone company that gave this mob this number doesn't act with the authorities rang my mother landline about a tax bill she's 77 and hasn't worked for 50 years scum of the earth and the people that are ment to weed this racket out are even bigger scumbags than the fraudsters

I also received a phone call today from this number a message was left on my answer machine a lady's voice sounded American saying about a lawsuit was quite alarmed for a few minutes then Googled the number.It would be quite worrying for someone elderly to receive a call like that .

I have received at least 4 calls from these, the first one scared me to death so I phoned the real HMRC to find out what was going on, they informed me that they would never send an automated message like this and any court orders would be served through the proper legal channels. This is a scam.
