Yes this is a real Barclays anti fraud phone number. They called me as i was trying to purchase items on ebay tonight.

Wow, so this is where we've come to. Even the genuine numbers are getting reported. Had to deal with the Barclays line a few times, its genuine. I really concerned that it's being reported, the people are either stupid or scammers.

Quite corect, I just called the barclay freephone helpline number (do it too!) 0800 1510900 and it is genuine. I spent over £300 today on my card and they wanted to know if it was definitely me as (sadly!) I don't normally spend large amounts. .and YES! They will actually block your card if you don't talk to them just incase it is not you spending the large amounts and the debt to your card gets bigger! Nothing to worry about

This is a genuine Barclays fraud number. Justhe phoned Barclays and checked. They phoned me to query a transaction I had tried to make but had been declined. So if you get a call from this number it's to phone Barclays straight away and check.

Had 2 text saying fraudulant acctivity on accout 449. 02 from UAE.. then a voice message saying to call barclays as fraudulant authorisation.. i work for a bank so i knew it was a scam.. double checked with barclays and they confirmed they had not contacted us .. AVOID THE NUMBER IT IS DEFINATLY A SCAM.. TOTAL SCUM OF THE EARTH wan**rS.

Barclays just confirmed a scam today. call the number on the back of your card not this one.

Some people on this thread are so stupid, the number is genuine and has saved me from fraud tonight. If they call you and it's not your account, maybe your number wasn't your number a few years ago and barclays have it as a contact for another customer. 100% genuine number, you can check it on barclays website.
