This number rang and left s voicemail which was super hard to understand tried ringing and noone answered me just an automated message. Also received a text saying they wanted to talk to me about a transaction

Call cuts off after one ring. I then immediately get an email from [email protected] regarding “HSBC Safeguard” that looks (almost) legit… Really don’t have time for this nonsense. HSBC Safeguard always sends physical letters and do not click on any of the links on the email. This is really a scam.

100% fraud attempt. Indian woman purporting to be from HSBC looking to confirm personal information and refusing to explain the reason for the call. I hung up and called HSBC where they confirmed it was a fraud attempt by phishing. The fraudsters are using spoofing technique to display a phone number using by HSBC. Be alert and do not give out any personal details under any circumstances.

I do not want to see this number come to my phone again. Especially as it is a scam. Thank you.

Phoned today. I was out they didn't leave a message.

Phone call at 14.57 today from a lady asking me if I would do online banking but my son handles that already .. She said I had been in the bank frequently to which I said no because I knew they could cut a yes to mean a confirmation of information .. So I hung up .

Called by this number. pak*stani sounding male. Said he needed to ask security questions. I refused to give more information. Would not tell me where he was based. Checked with HSBC and it was a scam call.

Received a text from this number 03456032775 claiming to be from Barclays Bank but you say it is a HSBC number so this is a new scam which must be stopped.

Called today claiming to be from a branch near me checking if my online banking had been working ok. They wanted to call people who had been isolating. But, I’m no different to the rest of the population, nor was the branch they were supposedly calling from my local branch or the branch where I first set up my account. Seems very odd.

Received a miss call from this number today believe it to be a scam number that should be blocked asap given above comments.

A woman rang my mother and asked her if she needed any help, said she was from HSBC , when my mother told her I her daughter dealt with everything she hung up. Scammers preying on elderly vulnerable people

Had a call today. He said my name and quickly said. It was my name bank. I asked him which bank he was calling from he wouldn't tell me and wanted me to confirm my name. I said no thank you and hang up.

Just got a phone call from this number. Didn't answer as I didn't notice my phone was ringing at the time.

Call came in and cut off immediately

I have a call today 16/Dec, sounds an indian lady , she knew my name and asked me go through the sercuirty questions... I refused, she won't give the reason for the call... it is not from my bank..

14 August 2020: called by this number. Couldn't understand the message they left (heavy Indian accent) but it was something about my bank account. Very dubious!

Rang today and said they were returning my call about a suspicious transaction on my account. When I challenged him he asked to speak to (an Indian Name). I said he was obviously a scammer and cut the call. Beware!

Female Asian voice claimed to be HSBC - except the bank have my account marked to never telephone. Caller offered no proof of who they were, And it had all the hallmarks of a scam. Have reported this number to the relevant authorities
