Called today claiming to be from Dell and said I had a virus on my computer and it was sending out error messages, the transferred me to 856-219-0616. This guy claimed to be from Best Trch support. I tools I could not pay and hung up.

Number used on me was (caller ID) 877-790-3355. Incident was same as Fm Pass on 3 July 2016. Only difference could not get pay pal to work. That not working and finally figuring out what was going on, I think saved me. Why would someone put software on computer that any one could get for free on the internet.

Odd, this number is calling me to. Odd thing is all I get is the call and a hang up during day and night.

Called 9/20/2016 and said he was a Dell computer rep and that my Dell computer had a virus. I immediately need it was a scam and said I'd report them and hung up. Foreign accented individual and phone voice sounded as if it were a distan location.

if I could, I would reach through the phone and choke the scammer at the other end of these calls from 'Dell'. I recently purchased a small spare lap top and they knew I did and tried to tell me they were having problems with that model. I wish Dell would offer to change their customers tag numbers to shut these a-holes down. I'm afraid that if Dell ever did call me, I'd be hanging up on them, after a few choice and well chosen words. How do you say 'FU' in Indian?

Claimed to be Dell employee #1567, and to be calling from the Dell Research facility. He knew the service tag and purchase date of my DELL computer. Claimed that critical services were not working and wanted me to go into the msconfig and mess with services. He could not even tell me the operating system that my computer has on it. Total fraud.

Caller ID comes up Allegheny Co. No measage. They've called twice now.

Got the call last night and knew that it couldn't be from Dell as caller ID came up as Dir. Asst. Man kept trying and then I asked for his supervisors # - called it on another phone and found it was a survey site.

Same as other person, Claimed to be Dell computer trying to get me to do something on my machine for him cleaning I had errors that were being reported to him.

Guy with strange Russian accent called claiming to be from Dell. I don't have a Dell, and I knew this was a scam anyway so I figured I'd play along. He tried to trick me into giving him remote access to my computer. I was bored and figured I could have a bit of fun, so I just played dumb to waste his time. When I said that I need to call him back he got angry and scolded me for wasting his time.

Claims to be dell tech center. Were calling my cell phone repeatedly until I blocked the number. Now they are calling my land line

Why can't this number be stopped? As many people that has complained you would think someone would be able to trace where it's coming from and stop them! I told them I don't have a computer but they continue to call. I even called the number back and it says not located in this area.

Said was Microsoft investigation department

I do not own a Dell computer, nor would I, they sell Junk and this number and numerous others are blocked

Same as the other complaints. The caller said he was from dell tech and received an error from my computer. Said there is probably a hacker trying to get into my computer. Told me to turn on the computer and he would walk me through what was needed to be done. I said no but thank you and hung up. I have reported the scam to the Federal Trade Commission 1-877-382-4357 (ftc.gov). Dell advised they will never call with such issues. I also reported the scam to dell.com/reportphonescams

This is the same number that has called me in the past, and I have been unable to block them or stop them from calling. If you answer and refuse to deal with them, they call back and curse you, even leaving that language in a voice message. A few days ago I signed up at https://www.nomorobo.com/. Now after 1 ring, the call is automatically disconnected when Nomorobo determines that the number is in their database of known scammers.

He calls and said he's from Dell and it's time to clean up my computer. Takes me into Dell and gives me a code number. Turns out to be invalid so tells me to go to (Go to assist) . He told me what my computer tag number is because I didn't believe he was from Dell. The number he called from said unkown caller and also private number and also 1-800-426-2066 and 1-800-425-2067

They are using 'spoofcard' to transmit Dell's number to your caller i.d. device.They are not calling from Dell. Tell them to eff themselves and they likely will return the comment in kind and 'hang up.'

Claim to be calling from Dell support saying my computer was sending errors & warning messages. He said my IP address was not secure. He wanted me to run 'eventwvr'. Told him he was a scammer and to give me his supervisors number. Another middle eastern speaking man came on the phone said he was a Dell supervisor and gave me this number 1-800-425-2067. Someone needs to shut these &$x#holes down!!

Same as everyone. They were trying very hard to convince me my computer was sending error msg. To them. It would only take a little time to fix.... blablabla... exactly the same as everyone else. They called me back 5 x.scam!

Message advising that he was from Dell Support and they were calling about my maintenance contract.I called Dell to report the telephone #1-800-624-9896, as they call on Thurs. 16 Oct 2017, at 11:17 am and 2:29 pm.I know Dell does not call unless specifically requested. Both calls were recorded calls as I did not answer my telephone.

I too just got a call. Claimed that I was getting errors messages and pop-ups on my computer (which I'm not) and saying that I've been hacked. And that they would just need 5 minutes of my time, when I was in front of my computer. I just called Dell and was told that they don't make such calls.

Get calls frm this # 5 to 8 times a day, on my caller id, never leave msgs, I answer and no one on the other line, or I answer and say stop scamming people out of their hard earned money, then I hang up on them

Claimed to be Dell technical support calling about my computer. Gave me the model number. It was actually the model number of a computer monitor I had purchased. Said they had received error codes from my computer. Obviously fraud.

Claimed to be a dell Technician, but I explained I didn't have a Dell, they just hung up!

His name is Daniel, he sounds like he is Jamaican and says he is calling about my Dell computer and when I said I don't have one he hangs up.

States they are calling from dell surport.Saying my computer is down loading virus . Been getting these calls 2 -3 times a day. I tell them that's weird I don't own a computer. They hang up.

Hard to understand woman from India saying my computer had contacted them about virus downloads. Obvious scam as my computer is no longer connected to internet.

I have gotten multiple calls from Dell technical support regarding a security issue with my computer but when I called Dell they said they knew nothing about it. He has called me 3-5x a day for the last week though I told him not to call me during the daytime when I'm at work

This guy from India use to call me a lot at home until I set up my phone to block any private calls, now today I just received a call from him on my cell phone. WTF

Claim to be from Dell. have service tag and express service tag. didnt confirm. asked them to confirm the last 3 cases i had on my machine, said they couldnt due to technical difficulty, sytem was not updating. obvious scam. caller was quite pushy and insistent that i go to web page.told him i googled the caller id and saw he was a fraud and his only response was 'oh you have google open? can you go this webpage?'told him I didnt believe him and hung up

Claimed to be Dell Support. I told them to never call again. They then bombarded my number with a constant stream of calls. I really wish we had an effective way of tracking these crooks down and arresting them.

Used to call and say he was from DELL. I said, 'OH MY, DON'T TELL ME MY COMPUTER HAS A VIRUS?!! Then I hung up on him. Now, he calls every few days. DON't answer!

They called me did the same thing and I told them it was a scam and they hung up. Then my 13 year old son got a call he said they were a scam to them and the guy said shut the f*ck up to him.
