this is an annoying number that calls, what can be done

I was called at 3.05am. I am so annoyed. Looked up who had this phone number and it is Cdn diabetes. 3am. Also they phoned every day this week and when I answered the calls, no was at the other end. I am now not going to donate to clothes line.

They called me and I agreed to give them some of my staff. The cause is good, the caller was polite and I do have a lot of *junk* in my house.

Never says anything, just silence, calls constantly, is annoying

I get calls from this number in spite of being on the NO CALL LIST. Every one who gets a call from them should call back their 800 number and NOT SPEAK TO THEM EITHER!!!!

I received a call from a nice little lady offering to help me clean out my closet (so to speak) . Its pretty sad that so many dishonest people gave charities a bad name. If you look at all these comments, you realize that people are very cautious and doubtful as to the true identity of the caller. Although CDA association confirms this phone number on their official website- we still are doubting the authenticity of the call. This number calls me frequently without leaving any message, very annoying.

I got a call from a 'Robert' talking to me about the Canadian Diabetes association. It sounded credible! They're looking for donations so if you have some clothes to get rid of, for example might just as well answer the call- they'll come pick it up.I didn't have anything to donate really , because I am a recovering hoarder and don't have much left to give away, but maybe other people do .

This number keeps showing up on my WORK phone caller ID! They call AFTER hours but leaves NO messages. Hello people what part of this is a Business don't you understand? Plus if this is the Canadian CDA why are they calling me? I'm in the United States! I'll give things to the less fortunate here in my own country first Thank You Very Much!!

We have had calls the past two days from this number. Each time there is nobody on the other end of the line speaking, however someone is there listening as you can tell there is someone there. It is silence. The Call Display reads 'Out of Area'.

My phone rang displaying 1-800-505-55-25 on my caller ID, but no one seemed to be on the line when I answered!

Though these calls are for a good cause, I am sick to death of the constant calls from The Diabetes people. It the clothesline program, directed by the Canadian Diabetes Association. They will come pick up your clothes that they will later sell to second hand stores and the proceeds will go to the CDA. I have donated some clothes to them in the past, and it went without a problem.However I understand the anger of those, who do not receive an explanative voicemail : it's important to know the nature of the missed call.

I wish I'd known it was CDA - I always give them clothes and whenever they've phoned in the past their name was displayed and I answered the phone. Why would their number now say 'unknown'? They also always used to leave a message. I wonder if they've farmed out this task and that's why it's not done as above-board.

I received a call around 6 PM from that number as well but I didn't pick up the phone. No message was left with the reason for call or call back number to reply.

I will not give to these people because of the hang ups..and we have diabetes in the family. Plus, Value Village then just gives other charitable thrift stores a run for their money will spinning a profit. I just bring my stuff to the Sally Ann and donate to the CDA separately.

I returned the call (from another number, maybe that matters) and spoke to a live person (1st ring no less) and they said they could take me off their list.My beef was they dialed my home line AND my cell number at the same time... and i could never connect with a live person when I answered.Let's hope for the best

This number calls me every day and when I answer there is no one on the other end. Very irritating.

I have received many calls from this number. I notice that Telus has an ad shown here. I'm thinking that for everyone who does a WWW search the originator of the call gets paid. Yes, they get paid by Telus! They don't need to collect clothes.... The last call I answered but there was no response. The line was dead...... This is very unscrupulous behavior!

This is a legitimate charity. They collect clothing. books and household goods and they will pick up at your home. A great way to declutter and do some good in the community.

I will no longer support them.They call me repeatedly, late at night, and hang up when I answer.

the CDA should not only be looking for clothes donations, they should also start looking for new equipment for their call center ! I was patiently waiting for someone to say something for a good 2min period. Nevertheless no one was on the line so I had no choice but to hang up.

if you look up the Canadian diabets association, 1-800-505-5525 is the number listed on their website. So yes its legit!

The CDA has a special arrangement with the Value Village stores to sell the clothes that they collect as the result of those calls. The proceeds are used to finance diabetes research. This number belongs to CDA without a doubt. Don't be afraid to deal with them, it's a legitimate organization!

This is a legitimate phone call from the Canadian Diabetes Association looking for donations. If you have something to donate, you can book an appointment with them and the truck will pick it up from your residence. I've used this service several times. Its reliable.

800-505-5525 belongs to the Canadian Diabetes Assoc. Funny their hrs of operation are 8 am - 8pm, however they are calling residential numbers at 8:50pm - There employees may want to think about the reason they have an 8pm stop time... it is unacceptable to disturb people after 8pm unless they are planning to send someone over to help put the children back to sleep!!!!! Does not bode well for donations...

This is a telemarketing call I was glad to receive. I have way too much junk in my wardrobe and was planning to hold a yard sale. No need, as they will be coming to pick up my stuff before the end of the monthh!

Not impressed with these guys. They have been calling every day, even late at night. Asked to remove my number from their call list and still get calls. Blocked a number and they phone from other numbers. Blocking those too. If I want to donate, I'll call them. Latest one was a robocall but have had individuals phone too so it is anything. Being harassing isn't a good way to try to solicit donations.

They called me today at 14:30, I picked up but there was no one on the line. I kept saying hello,hello , until I got tired and hung up. I know everything is fine with my phone... must be theirs! Oh well.
