I have never answered this call, only once when I accidentally pressed the talk button getting the phone out of my purse. It calls me several times a day.

Calling for Trevor Hackett and Cecilia (last name garbled). Claims it is NOT a solicitation.

I feel bad for those who fall for this scam. My mother called me letting me know that this was the second time they called. I called the first time, hung up after 10 min. being on hold and was a little 'what the -' after my mom called me a second time the next day (all recordings- sounded urgent, same as all the above). For a moment I thought my card was stolen- called again 'closed after 9' is said...-what '1-800' closes? These #'s are 24/7! Man, I hope no one falls for this low-life loser.

Recieved calls The voice says, 'This is not a solicitation,' and goes on to say it is from Macy's It tells me to call the 800 number or go to Macy's.com. The person who answered the call asked for my account number. I would not give it to him. I told him he called me what does he want. He said he couldn't hear me to call back. When I called the number again I received a recording that they were closed for the holiday. What holiday on Dec. 18th? The man who answered the phone did not sound American, maybe Mideastern. It must be a scam.

Calling my name with the last name spelled out. claim it is not a solicitation. Referred me to call 1-800-511-3207 or visit macys.com. I called the 800# and only got recordings and then disconnected.

Left messages claiming to be from my Macy's acct, tried the number several times and never got anyone to come to the phone.

Say their from Macy's heavy Indian accent. Said that my payment was late and started asking for my bank info and last 4 of my social. I have Macy's numbers saved on my phone because of fraud with my cards so I know how they work. This isn't Macy's it's scammers.

This is a division of Macy's - their credit collectors. When I called and was asked to give out a bunch of personal info, I too became concerned. I called the customer service # on my Macy's card and voiced my concern.

The last couple days I've been getting the same automated call requesting that I call 800-511-3207. Do not recognize the name they're asking for. Assumed it was a wrong number. How do I make them stop calling? Only get recordings when I call back. Cannot find anything on the website.

I've rec'd 2 calls from this number claiming to be Macy's and not a solitation all. It reeked of a scan, so that's what led me to this. Same story as above: to call 1-800-511-3207 or macys.com; I blocked caller ID and tried calling the 800# and it sounds very unprofessional too.

I, too, am getting this computer-generated call. The voice says, 'This is not a solicitation,' and goes on to say it is from Macy's and is for 'Marty the Hundreth Club.' It tells me to call the 800 number or go to Macy's.com. Unfortunately I then receive another call, exactly the same except when the voice says the call is for... the space for a name is blank. I am getting these double calls in the morning and evening! I have written Macy's and have also gone in and reported the calls to a store manager. I've been receiving them for about a week now, and they are driving me nuts! By the way, Macy's no longer has a customer service department in our California store. It is darned difficult getting to talk to anybody.

This is an actual Macy's number, not a scam. I had the message on my machine saying to call the number. Somehow I had 2 account #'s with just one card, and wasn't notified of a bill on one of the cards, therefore resulting in a late payment. So i payed the bill over the phone then afterwards became suspicious, what did i just do? So i called the Macy's number on my bill and they confirmed the payment i had just made and that it was legit.

This is not a scam.

I have to change my previous post. When I got home from my office I called Macy's and they did indeed have me as past due (I made the payment on their web site, and they applied it to the wrong account). So while I still won't give out an account number unless I call the number on the card or the statement, it does seem that the call was legit.

I finally emailed macys asking about this telephone number and they informed me it was a collection agency. but before then I got the same answering machine asking me to please hold but took me nowhere. but now a days i do not trust anybody. even if macys told me it was their collection agency i sill wouldnt give an acct number

Same call from that number; used my name and asked for my Macy's Account # when I called them back. Of course I would not give that to them without knowing more (which is why I'm on this site to begin with).

The number listed is for the collections department for Macy's Credit services.

They have called my number 3 times asking for a person that I never heard of. The call is from a voice recording. It smells like a scam. If anyone can please report this number to the authorities. It appears they are using this number to 'phish' for information.

I get at least 5 recorded messages per week 'not a solicitation' from someone claiming to be from macy's looking for Pedro Franco. I am not Pedro Franco. I don't even have a Macy's card.

They have called my number at least 4 times asking for me with a automated voice. Then, as detailed in 16 Nov 2007 post, they asked me to call 1800-511-3207 or visit Macy's.com. I called the number and spoke to someone who wanted my Macy's account number and then my social security last four digits. At this point, I hung up the phone. I checked my Macy's account and everything is fine. Glad to see other people have encountered this phishing scam.
