Fake letter sent with black wonky halifax logo. Knew it was fake, but Googled telephone number to report and found this. Scammers are clever, but not good enough this time. Jog on

Spoke to a mr sherwin from Halifax/ Lloyds today he gave me this number!. It’s one of their departments telephone numbers!!.😎

Just had phone call saying they were Halifax asking for my security details. I informed her I don't conduct bank over phone. She asked me to call this same number. I checked out number on this site.

letter pretending to be from halifax, with non existent account number.

Received a text message from this number purporting to be from Bank of Scotland. Ignored it urge folk to do the same

I had a letter from Halifax saying I was due a refund and I was and received it a family member had transferred money to me and used my old bank account details which was closed so the amount they said was due to me was correct and I did receive it as a cheque within 3 days so this IS NOT A SCAM LETTER

Received a phone call from this no. Didn't answer so they left a msg saying they were Lloyd's bank. Didn't answer that either. Just got a txt msg asking me to call. I have no dealings with Lloyd's so will not be contacting

Got a text saying my payment was needed to make on the account don't call it you will have a huge phone bill after it

Another fake letter purportedly from the Bank of Scotland saying that I’ve been overpaid. I do have an account with BOS but don’t use it and there are virtually no funds standing orders etc. I called the number withheld my number and the person who answered was very polite and professional....it’s a scam......so don’t fall for it!!Kal

Scam from Halifax but it says Lloyd's when you call it

recieved a letter supposedly from halifax today asking me to call them about a refund cheque. also asking if i wanted the cheque to be paid to a 3rd party. it was on what looked like halifax letter head but made me suspicious as it was in black and white and wasnt worded quite right for a bank. the number above was the number to call to confirm details. this was a very official looking scam which would fool many people

Revived a letter claiming to be from the Bank of Scotland...I do have an account but don’t use it. The person on the phone wanted my DOB....didn’t give it...this is a scam.And a poor letter too on plain paper and black and white.....but how and where did they get my address?

Received a letter today claiming to be from Halifax and asked to pay either through internet banking or to set up a direct debit. I checked out number on this site.

Genuine wasnt sure as call is dodgy so called halifax direct and details i was given by this number was correct and refund due. Rather than call this number call telephone banking direct and they will transfer through.
