Called asking if I was a representative of Smallwood Hotels LLC. I looked them up and they are in the western part of the US and I live in the eastern part of the US. Not even the same area code. I told them I was not. Do not know what they wanted.

Ask for an individual I did know. I told him there was nobody here by that name. He asked if I had a number where he might reach her. I told him that I knew nobody by that name. He thanked me and hung up. Sounded like a very professional debt collector. Was not rude or abusive and maintained client privacy as required by law.

No, the IRS actually has 3-4 collection agencies that can now collect back taxes. You do not pay them directly, you still pay the IRS. If they tell you to pay them directly, then it’s fraud.

IRS says they are NOT an authorized collector who can recover back taxes. I spoke with two different people at the IRS and they said ONLY the IRS can set up agreements with you to collect back taxes. FRAUD, be very careful

A lady called my cell phone and asked for my son. When I said no this is not his number she asked for his number. I asled her what is is about and she said it was personal. So I refused to give her a number. She pressed and said So is this a good number to reach him then? I said no my son is an adult and I won't give you his number. She again reiterated it was a personal matter and hung up.

I keep getting calls from this number but every time I answer, after I say hello several times, they hang up without saying anything.I am getting annoyed that I keep getting these calls and want them stopped. I have my phone number listed on the national no-call list.

This is where the scam call originates. They leave a message asking you to call 800-448-3531. The message claims that they are required by law to inform me that they are a debt collection agency and that any information obtained will be used for that purpose.

This number is owned by Pioneer collections... An IRS collection agency. They do not leave messages and if you do answer, they are very very rude. They were calling the wrong number but still demanded all my personal information which I did not give them...DO NOT ANSWER.
