THIS IS NOT PROGRESSIVE.I called 1-800-PROGRESSIVE to talk to the actual Progressive Insurance Company and they told me they didn't even have a Collections Department and my phone number didn't even show up in their system.

I get this number 2 to 3 weeks BEFORE my bill is even due from progressive. They don't leave a message, and when I do pick up it's a recording saying my account will be canceled if payment made immediately. I also get progressive letters again 2 to 3 weeks before the due date, sometime even before the bill arrives in the mail i get the cancellation letter. Not cool progressive!

It is, indeed, Progressive. I'm notorious for paying my auto insurance at the last possible moment every month, and they call and leave a message reminding me to make a payment before the policy cancels. It's just a friendly reminder, not offensive at all.

I recently lost my wallet and had to change my account number at the bank, I forgot about them while updating all of my auto drafts. I got this call, and immediately got it taken care of, calls stopped. Thanks Progressive!

I am so glad to find out it was Progressive! I realized with everything I had going on that I had forgotten to make my payment. I have never had them call before, so I was happy for the reminder.

Called number back, pre recorded message from progressive saying payment was past due and that I could pay using the pre recorded prompts. I called 1-800-progressive and they verified it was a legit call from them. Still, I will never give out my credit card info to a pre recorded message that shows up as an unknown number.

Call 3-8 times a day and don't leave a message. Even ifyou don't have them for your insurance or your bills are paid on time they continue to call. It borders on harassment with the number of times they call.

I had a a 800-274-4240 call my phone. There was no caller I'D and they did not leave a message. I believe it is progressive auto insurance calling, but not certain. If it is progressive I don't know why they do not leave a message and how hard it is to state who it is calling. A legit company like progressive needs to be a little more professional when calling and actually leave a message, if they want to be taken seriously and have people answer their calls or return their calls.

I called progressive and spoke to an agent, she explained they don't ask for pin numbers ever and that I was receiving a spam call and to block the number immediately.

This number keeps calling the house phone before 9a.m. EST then hangs up on the answering machine with-out leaving a message. I really don't know who is calling us. This number calls in early am and later at night after 8P.M..

If your policy cancels for non payment and the state fines you or suspends your license then you really would ticked off. Progressive does that to make sure you have no problems with your state! Give me a break can you guys find something else to complain about?

been a customer of progressive for 2yrs and this is the first time its happened to me. I always pay bills when they come in, and back in mailbox within 2 days. Then you have a tragedy in your family and forget one time and start getting a computer generated call? SERIOUSLY!!!! Why is it that people allow these types of actions from businesses. Please folks, start standing up for what you believe in, you will be suprised how many folks have common views on things in our country need a change!!!!

Progressive - I assume this is to try to tell me that my bill is due, as it only happens around those times each month. (Even when my bill is already paid!!) Usually they will call between 5 and 10 times per day! They never leave a message and the automated message when you actually answer is no help at all. A little ridiculous to be honest.

These calls start happening when your Progressive auto policy is about to cancel from non-payment. Certain states (such as NY) will suspend your registration and fine you if your insurance lapses. I believe that Progressive has these calls set up so that you have to speak with someone (and be notified) in order for them to stop. If you answer the phone there are no subsequent calls.

This number is Progressive Insurance. It is an auto dialer that calls you four times a day to let you know you may be canceled if you don't make your payment by a certain date.. Yes, you read right.. Not even bill collections or policies already canceled.. the call perfectly good customers of years 4-5 times a day threatening to cancel you if you forget to make your payment.. TERRIBLE POLICY.. With this treatment, CANCEL ME, PLEASE!!! NOTE: You can opt out of this if you call and turn it around on them and threaten to cancel your policy.. Like magic, calls stopped!!! ;)

Received four calls today from 800-274-4041. I won't pick up and they don't leave a message. I've heard it's Progressive Insurance. Can someone stop this?

It's progressive, letting me know that my insurance is getting canceled due to non-payment. Good thing because i didn't know that the bank was not authorizing the automatic withdrawals. Bad thing about them is that they never left a message when they called, so it took me longer to call them and find out. If i dont know the number i dont answer.
