Missed call on this number, believe it to be 'HMRC Tax Fraud Scam'. Later received a call on same number but ending 42 not 31. Automated voice message about being involved in tax fraud.

Had a call from this number about HMRC tax fraud & to press 1 if I didn't do this I would be arrested. I tried to press 1 but my screen went blank when it finally come back I was cut off. Left me in terrible state until I googled number. Still feel sick & anxious! Please tell me it really is a scam

Me too received call - from HMRC. Automated voice telling me that there was a tax fraud against my name. Called HMRC and they confirmed it is not them. Please just hung up and block the number.

This number is attached to a HMRC scam along with 07971609325 - it is being posted through letter box’s.

I have just had the same call. When I answered the first time there was no one there so I hung up, and they rang back straight away and a computer explained about the tax fraud complaint and said if i didn't press 1 I would be arrested. I will report this to authorities - this scam will likely target the most vulnerable people with lots of trouble. If you've also had it, report it as well so that they can be stopped quickly

just rang prerecorded message saying from hrmc and tax fraud registered in my name and if i ddnt press 1 would be arrested. how do we stop these people targeting vulnerable folk, they should be hung drawn and quartered

Automated message apparently from HMRC stating that there was a fraud case against me!! Told to press 1 or l’d be arrested immediately. I pressed the block button on my phone instead!!! Dirty old scammers once again!!

Claiming they are HMRCcalled HMRC direct using a different number and they confirmed nothing was showing on my tax account in regards to contacting me and that it’s a scam reported it to their cyber fraud department and blocked the number although they can still call from other numbers

Same call - I don't want to call back in case that reveals more....this kind of threat goes beyond a prank. Report to OFTEL???
