auto dialed my office number so I patiently waited until a rep picked up and I stated 'you dialed this number, what's up' ... Reps accent was thick, had to ask to repeat .. said something about being with Chase Fraud department. So I said again, you dialed my number, so what's the problem. Rep apologized and said have a nice day. A half hour later the number rings up again. WTF.

I received 2 texts today from 'CHASE' they wanted me to confirm with YES or NO a recent transaction, after not replying to either message they called me from this number. I picked up and an automated voice said my name and to press 1 if it was me. I hung up!

A woman from Chase with a very heavy foreign accent and bad connection called; she needed to verify my debit card number and the three-digit sec code on the debit card's back. I said I don't give out such information over the phone. She became aggressive, attempting to explain she was trying to protect me...and had the nerve to ask again. I hung up and blocked the number.

Seems like a scam. In their message, they claimed to be the fraud department of Chase. Instead of calling the number they left, I called Chase directly. Chase has no record of any fraud notices on my account and the number in Caller ID is not in Chase's directory. It is probably a scam.

I had somebody call me from this 1-800 number this morning asking for my debit or account number regarding some fraudulent activity on my account. I told him no chase would never ask me for that information over the phone. He's in the shared me that this was a legitimate call. I again told him no. He told me his name but could not understand him. He told me to call the phone number on the back of my ATM card and they can verify that this is in fact a legitimate call. It was fraud.

Scammers, called about an account problem, and left a message to call the (800) 839-7416 phone number. They knew my name and left a personal-looking robocall. They tried to call a second time. Scammers, be aware! Do not ever pick up the phone, that will only confirm that they have a working phone number, and they could sell it to other scammer. Whenever I answered such a call in the past I got numerous calls from all over the country.

This is ACTUALLY the Chase fraud department. If you have questions about the legitimacy of the call, ask them to send a ONE TIME PASSCODE to your phone. I did this and received the code. Once I verified the code, the operator gave me lots of information about the account that they could only know if they were from Chase. The person I spoke with was CLEARLY from India, but that doesn't mean they're not a legitimate Chase rep. This is a 100% legit phone number.
