Called me claiming to be a Card Service Company working to lower my APR. The calls will not stop. I called the number back and it is some fake visa number. They have also called from other phone numbers, same spill just different numbers

The operator I spoke to last verbally acknowledged that they did not know whether I was on a no call list or not, that a computer automatically dials the numbers.

8/25 caller said she was from 'Customer Care Center' and / or Credit Card Services. Asked for their number and was put on hold for 6 minutes after which I hung up.8/29 Whitney from 'Account Services' although the pre-recorded message you hear that asks you to press 1 was identical to the above. Asked for her number and got the above number which, of course, not who was calling.I don't have caller id. I asked what bank she was from and she said they work with 'all the banks'. I advised her that we are on the Do Not Call list and please stop calling.They want to lower my APR which I don't care about since I pay my balance monthly.

They keep calling me. They say that because I pay my bills on time, they can lower the rate on my credit cards. When I tell them I'm on a do not call list, they hang up on me. They call about 2x per month and I want it stopped please. Legitimate businesses do not hang up on people.

I received a call from this # today, the two people i spoke to were very adamant about getting our account info if we had any.... and proceeded to tell me they were affiliated wit Visa-Mastercard and represented 500+ of the nations operating banks. When i declined to offer my info and asked to do some personal research on the company i was given 800-847-2911 to call for follow up and the man on the line became very irritated and became nasty at teh fact i wouldnt give them info. Upon disconnecting our call, I immediately called the bank told them of the instance and was told yes, this is a known scam. reported it to the FTC. DONT GIVE ANY INFO OUT!

Automated message to Visa/MC holders saying our rate could go up in the near future, press '6' to speak to someone. I've pressed 6 several times and asked to be taken off of their calling list. Today I spoke to 'Steven' and told him if I got another call I'd report them to the AG's office. His reply: 'Who cares?'

It is illegal to call, regardless of what is said, if it is a prelude to sell you something, which this is. They are selling vacation packages.I was called by a local business for over two years and my DoNotCall website complaints did nothing. I even sent a postal letter to my State Attorney General asking why they weren't enforcing it. Their office replied telling me to file a complaint at DoNotCall.gov. Gee, that's what I did for over two years and it did nothing.When I filled out the FCC online complaint form, the calls stopped and have for more than two years. The company was warned first by the FCC but they kept calling so I kept complaining to the FCC. After a few months I got a letter from the FCC saying they took enforcement action and I haven't heard from the company since.If you want, keep a log of the calls so when they call in the future you can show this on the online complaint form. I just email myself the quick details with the date, time, and number of the telemarketer and keep it in a Do Not Call folder in my Yahoo mail box.

People from this number keep calling about lowering the interest rate on my credit cards. When I ask them to remove my number from their calling list, they hang up on me. Tired of this.

They called me on a blocked number. Jimmy gave me this number and his extension. When I typed his extension, they are asking for credit information instead of directing me to his extension.

They wanted my information of all my credit cards. Said would lower my APR. Gave them info on a almost maxed out card. Said wanted one with more credit on it or could not help me. Number called from. 50622249019 and 407 379 1524. Reason to beleive that this is a hoax.

They use local phone numbers and this 800. The name of thecompany is Global Visa Cards. Oh sure we are going to giveinfo to India. ??? I am so very sick of these people.

rec'd call, almost gave up info., but checked google after I asked the guy several questions about his company etc. he gave me the number above and when I saw these posts, I told him (after about 10 min. of conversation) that I wasn't interested, he hung up on me. Said his name was Jason. I filled out the form and reported it to the FCC.

The scam uses a recorded pre-call. If you would like to lower your interest rates. They claim they are Visa and MasterCard Client Services, not. There is no such organization that will call you to lower your rates. The institutions can just raise or lower your rates as they see fit. I got a name, Michael Samuels and a phone number 407 379-1524. I gave two credit card numbers with no supporting information and within two hours they had tried to use one to buy a car and the other to purchase something. So beware!!!!!!!

i got a call just moments ago frm this number and noone was on the line. it says 'VISA'as the caller ID.i called back,and it was really VISA... saying the only reason they'd call me is if i requested emergency money...i told him that i don't have a visa,but only through Capitalone and i said 'if that was to happen the would call me'and eh said 'thats correct'and told me to call CO and tell them what happenned.

I finally got him to give a phone number but he argued that it would take at least 45 minutes for me to get through to another agent because of the high volume of phone calls. He persisted, but I would not give him the last 4 of my SS#, even though I had his. He said he would get fired if he gave me the account info. He said he didn't represent any bank, but V/MC. This would apply to all of my accounts. (That just did not make sense to me.) If my debt was at least $3,000 at at least 12% interest then I qualified. They would offer between 5.9-6.9% interest, and every 3-6 months they would review the account and lower the rates again. He said it was a lifetime rate, fixed not variable. I tried to verify that it meant they would NEVER raise the rate, and he didn't understand the question. I even explained to him that the bank says never to give out information to someone unless I initiated the call, and that I was surprised that they'd be doing that. He had a hard time speaking 'off script.' I'm glad I refused.

I have been getting these calls also.Normally just hangup.Decided to play along today.Was speaking with Mona Leng #09825.She wanted my credit card # and when I refused instantly hung up.Well obviously its a scam.So I called Visa Customer Service.Kind of got a cold shoulder about it.They werent even slightly interested in the info I got.Just said its probably a scam.Not sure at this point whats worse the scammers or Visa for thier indifference to the situation.

Just got a call from them: Florida, 305-836-7371 on caller ID. Despite message saying that this is the 'last chance', they've kept calling. I tried to talk to them once before, to let them know that we're on teh do not call list, and asking to speak with a supervisor. Quickly got hung up on. This time I asked for a # incase we got disconnected, and got 1-800-847-2911. That's how I found this link. I've already sent my complaint to the FCC, and will continue to do so with each call. Hopefully everyone does the same, and these bottom dwellers get shut down.

This is obviously a scam. These people have called my wife and I scores of times, sometimes before 9 am on Saturday morning! I think it's located in the Cayaman Islands. Anyway, I found a way to outplay them: Tell them that you want to do business with them but you're about to move and get a new phone #. Then tell them that your new # will be (202) 324-3000 (it's the headquarters for the FBI! Ha!). It worked for me.

I received a call from this number 1-800-847-2911 at work and a man named Jeff Williams was rude and asked for our cashier. He wanted the dollar amount of our last transaction because he said they detected a discrepency. We did not give him any information because the whole thing sounds like a scam.

Unknown Name/Unknown Number calls repeatedly (often once per day and even at night) and either says that they want to lower my interest rates on my credit cards, lower my auto loan rates, or extend my automobile warranty ('Just press 1 to speak to someone about...'). I always press 1 and ask for company information or to be removed from their call list, and they always just hang up on me. Today I pressed 1 to talk to somebody about lowering my credit card interest rate, and pretended I was interested. I spoke to an operator who said her name was Whitney. She told me their number (800-847-2911) and said their address was Suite 300 W Peachtree, Ft Meyeres FL 23906. She said they just needed my credit card account information and they would lower my rates. She said that they are affiliated with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express and with all banks. I asked to talk to her manager. He said his name was Mike. When I asked how they found out about me, he said they got my number from Visa and Mastercard because we have a very high credit score and good payment history. When I asked him why his system often called us at night, he became agitated, asking what that had to do with me getting a better interest rate. I asked him if they used the Do Not Call list, and he became very upset, speaking to me in a rude tone, and insulted me for having 'nothing better to do with my time.' Then he hung up on me.

I googled the company name and found this website. The number didn't show up on my caller ID. A prerecorded message from 'Visa and MasterCard Customer Assistance Center' told me to press 6 to consolidate credit card debt and lower my APR. When I pressed 6, I was connected to a live agent. She introduced herself and asked if I had more than $4,000 in credit card debt. When i said no, she hung up!After Googling the name, I found the number above and called it. When I pressed any option, I was asked for a credit card number. After entering a made up number, I was connected to a guy that sounded like he was from India or Pakistan. After asking how they got my number, he asked what country I was in. He then gave me an address to write to: PO Box 9014, Farmingdale NY 11735. This of course is the Direct Marketing Association's address.WHY CAN'T THESE PEOPLE GET A LIFE? I think telemarketers are the lowest form of life on the planet. One could even argue that they are non-living objects.

The last few times I called back to get info on the company making the calls and to ask them to take my name off the list.Twice, they hung up when I asked.The last time, I managed to get through to a manager. Her name was Rhianna (last name I think was Lewis). She identified the company as United Financial Services and gave me the business number 1-800-847-2911.Then I told her I had received many calls from her company, that I had asked to be removed from the list, and that I was on the Do Not Call Registry.She hung up on me.
