GCS called on behalf of Comcast to sell upgrades to their service. I've informed Comcast I do not want to be contacted with promotions previously. They repeatedly do it despite my number being on the do not call list.

THIS IS A BUSINESS AND THESE CALLS COME THRU RING TWICE YOU PICK UP THEIR GONE! THEY NEED TO STOP/DESIST

I am on this do-not-call list, and yet, every single day, these jerks call. I've gotten e-mails saying they promise the calls will stop, but they haven't. I call the number and get put on hold. No mention of the company name. It's just some telemarketing company. When they finally answer (hours later), I ask them to remove me from their list. And here we go again. The next day, I'm called. SO DONE! I'm on the national do-not-call list, and this company's do-not-call list. What more of I DON'T WANT YOU TO CALL ME do they need, besides a good kick in the pants, a slap on the face, and their nose rubbed in it?!!!

OK folks, in light of the fact that no matter how many times you are 'removed' from various no call lists we're still going to get calls from these companies. It annoying but Heres what I do on my cell: I have a contact saved as 'stupid spammer'. Every time one of these numbers pop up, I save it to this contact, which I have set to go straight to voicemail. This helps alot as most of them don't leave messages. Just added this number - I have 26 numbers saved in so far.Hope this helps a bit!

Comcast!!!!! they suck!!! have provided me with bad service, there boxes only half the time work with the HDMI connections and they can not provide me with true uninterrupted service...........I rate them bottom of the barrel!!!!!

Got a call from this number saying they were from comcast and that they needed to verify hooking up my comcast service. They said they would need my full social security number in order to set up the service and when I said I wouldn't give it to them they replied 'Ok, your Comcast service has been verified, you're all set'.

I tried this. Still got called, even after I received an e-mail from the company saying I'm on their do-not-call list and that I shouldn't be getting any more calls. Right after I read it--literally five minutes or less later--the phone rang: number (800)863-4785. I called them back (I was too irritated to answer), and the guy stuttered (because he knew he was going to get yelled at), and I said, 'I asked and was told that I was placed on your do-not-call list. So why am I still being called?' He stuttered again--an apology of sorts--and then claimed he was going to take me off the list--a 'list,' mind you, that I was already supposed to be removed from. Yah. Right.Lets see what tomorrow brings.

called four times on my cell phone and two on my work line. No messages. Last call at 8 p.m. on my cell.

just called the number back and had both my phone numbers put on the do not call list. I was told politely that this was now done and I would not be getting any more calls from them. We'll see!

Got a call from this number about an hour ago, but didn't answer. Googled the number and found these comments along with a few more comments on another site. I looked a little farther down my search result list and found this site: http://www.gcscalled.us which seems to explain who they are, what they do, and how to have them stop calling you. Their site confirms what a few of the comments above say: they are a telemarketing firm hired by Comcast to sell you something. (Basically just answer the phone and ask them to take your number off their list.)I gotta admit, as much as I HATE telemarketers, I'm totally impressed that this particular firm would create a site specifically for annoyed recipients of their sales calls to explain who they are and how to get them to stop calling. Don't get me wrong. I still HATE getting sales calls from telemarketers. But maybe next time they call I WON'T be an [***], and just say, 'thanks, but no thanks' instead.

COMCAST SUCKS [***]!!! The service they provide is expensive and nothing special. They are always calling for some [***] 'deal' they want me to know about. I have them for internet service and that is all I want them for so they need to leave me the [***] alone. 800-863-4785 calls and recalls within a minute when I don't answer sometimes up to four times in a row.

Yep! It's Comcast. Just call them back and yell at them. They'll remove you. And if they don't, well, then yell again. Eventually it will sink in their thick skulls that you don't wish to be disturbed about their newer, faster, internet service. Seriously, though, they call as though they are creditors! EVERY SINGLE DAY, TWO OR THREE TIMES (AT LEAST) if you don't answer. And they just keep calling and calling and calling... no message, just calls. Funny thing, when you call them back, the people sound on edge, as though they know they're about to be yelled at. Well, if that's the case, then DUH! Don't keep calling and harassing people on their cell phones (or any phones)! Maybe then you won't get yelled at!

It is Comcast calling from this number. I have received one phone call each day for the last five days. I never answered or called back because they did not leave a message. After reading the posts here and on other sites today, I just called the number back to verify I'd get the same company. When the rep asked how he could help me, I simply said that I wanted to be removed from their call list. He said ok, and that it could take up to 30 days. Done. Called them back from a different phone. It is Comcast. Since I am paid up on my bill, I assume it is a sales call to get me to buy more services from them. I didn't talk to them, just hung up as soon as they announced the company name.
