This number is just the Microsoft automated sign in verification, nothing suspicious found.

Visitor 18 Jan 2022

With all the fraudulent cases currently, this number called me and I did not respond. They did not even leave a voice message!

Visitor 14 Jan 2022

Keeps calling my work number. Automated call pretending to be MSN voice mail or some such nonsense

Visitor 14 Jan 2022

This is a strange number and called me!!!

Visitor 10 Jan 2022

Block this anonymous phone number

Visitor 09 Jan 2022

They had sent what looked like a Microsoft One-Time-Password text message to the cell phone first. Then they called three times with an automated message that if I had received a false Microsoft authenticator code, to press '0' to reach my IT department about the issue. I hung up all 3 times.

Visitor 20 Dec 2021

This is not a UK based linen as the number has too many digits. The country code 018 is for Israel.

Visitor 18 Nov 2021

I don't care who the recording says they represent; no one should betelemarketing at midnight following Thanks Giving Day!

Visitor 07 Nov 2021

Called me this morning at 3:45am!

Visitor 31 Oct 2021

Microsoft verification number.

Visitor 26 Oct 2021

Automated voice from american number. Keeps calling my mobile in the late evening/ early morning GMT time asking for a verification code. A very annoying nuisance call.

Visitor 12 Oct 2021

They claim to be Microsoft tech support to gain access to your computer

Visitor 18 Sep 2021

stop calling my number

Visitor 13 Sep 2021

This is incorrect, the number is Microsoft MFA (multifactor authentication), when configured in Azure, (maybe more). If you are getting it multiple times, somebody is trying to logon to a system that is configured with your number, and it wants you to answer and hit pound to verify it's you. If you aren't logging in then the number is entered incorrectly, but the multiple calls means the system is working as designed. If you were to answer the call you would hear 'this is the Microsoft sign in verification process. Please press pound to complete your verification. '

Visitor 11 Sep 2021

Eighteen posts on this thread and slightly over half are busy tell everyone who'll listen, how 'legit' this number is. It's most likely some sort of scam. Looks like the shill posters are hiding behind a lot of technical mumbo-jumbo.Personally I'd ignore and block any communication from this number.Other sites also report this number to be a scam of some sort.

Visitor 08 Sep 2021

It's legit call from Microsoft. They verify the identity by calling you if you have chosen the call answer for the verification process. You may choose text message if you don't want to receive the call.

Visitor 26 Aug 2021

Received a call from this number. No message left. I returned call and spoke to a lady that could pass as from India. Claimed that her phone has been turned off all day while she is at work. SO no way that she is the one that called me. But it is her number. So, someone is spoofing.

Visitor 23 Aug 2021

They called me 3 times before I blocked the number.

Visitor 16 Aug 2021

Just received call and voice mail from this number. Cut half way in on message stating someone trying to access my account and they need to verify my information.Ummm.. yeah right.

Visitor 30 Jul 2021

This is an automated verification from Microsoft. If you are trying to log into your account this is a two stage verification call.

Visitor 28 Jul 2021

keeps calling my number. using my minutes. leaving vm.

Visitor 09 Jul 2021

this number had called me, I assume they have tried to hack into my account

Visitor 30 Jun 2021

This number claims to be from Microsoft. There is no evidence od this number actually belonging to Microsoft so that's why people are skeptical but it is in fact a legit number and not a scam one.

Visitor 25 Jun 2021

This number has called my UK mobile number once a day, for the last 11 days. I didn't norice immediately, because calls were made around midnight GMT and phone on do not disturb. No voicemail left. I don't know anyone in North America that might try to call me. Assume very suspicious. Did not answer. Number blocked.

Visitor 16 Jun 2021

My company uses the Microsoft Call Authentication when I have to log into a VDI (remote) and this is the number I answer everyday. (I have to hit the # in order to successfully log in through a Citrix Reciever)

Visitor 12 Jun 2021

+18553308653 got on phone call from this number today. Claimed to be from Microsoft authenticator

Visitor 09 Jun 2021

This number keeps calling my work phone. They’ve called me 20 times just this past week. I never answer that phone unless I recognize the number, and they finally left a message today. It was a robotic voice message that just stated that they cannot reach me at this time and will try again later. Very strange and very annoying.

Visitor 28 May 2021

I allowed Microsoft to verify my registered mobile number, And they called me to a couple of seconds later.

Visitor 25 May 2021

Conducted a 2-factor authentication for a Microsoft Outlook account. Worked perfectly, No problems.

Visitor 24 May 2021

Not a Robocall. Unless they spoofed their caller ID, this is Microsoft's multi-factor authentication number, e.g. if you have Office 365.

Visitor 23 May 2021

This number has phoned me twice this morning saying someone may be trying to use my microsoft account. I will block their number.

Visitor 18 May 2021

Man påstår sig ringa från Microsoft (Usa)

Visitor 16 May 2021

Visitor 15 May 2021

Sorry but Microsoft doesn't cold call you about computer problems. So I guess I can say this:

Visitor 14 May 2021

Pas op: nep Microsoft nummer! Niet gebruiken. Is scam. Zie ook elders op het net. Velen klachten over.

Visitor 08 May 2021

It's legit. Are you sure you weren't trying to access a Remote Desktop Computer? lol 'wanted certain buttons pushed' Yes, that's how they validate that you are authorized to access the remote systems.

Visitor 06 May 2021

Ikke spam pga innlogging på jobb server

Visitor 06 May 2021

Office 365 sign-on verification

Visitor 05 May 2021

So when you are attempting to access a remote system, it could be an Azure system, or a standard Windows Remote Desktop System, the MS validation service is going to call you and ask you to press a button to validate your access. Basically this is way to prove you are a human being trying to access whatever remote system you are accessing. Now if you don't know if you are accessing a remote system or not....well that's an entirely different problem altogether and one that I probably can't help you with. ;-)

Visitor 04 May 2021

This is calling my work phone extension. 4 times when I was at lunch and then 2 more times after I had left the office. Very annoying.

Visitor 04 May 2021

100% safe. Microsoft two factor authentication

Visitor 28 Apr 2021

Useriøst

Visitor 28 Apr 2021

2 faktor verifisering, Når jeg logger inn på VPN på jobb ringer dette nr meg.

Visitor 27 Apr 2021

Whoever you talked to does not have the correct information. This call is regarding validation to a system, for me it was validation to my client's remote desktop system. How did I get here? Well the first time they called I didn't realize that, the 2nd time I called it happened to coincide with me trying to get logged into a remote desktop, plus my login instructions said I would get a call on my cell phone. So umm yeahh...this is totally legitimate.

Visitor 16 Apr 2021

Microsoft login godkendelse.

Visitor 15 Apr 2021

Visitor 09 Apr 2021

Hacker trying to access personal information passwords etc

Visitor 08 Apr 2021

Visitor 05 Apr 2021

Called me three times back-to-back this morning. I pushed the first two straight to voicemail because I didn't recognize the number and then let it ring until my phone automatically sent it to voicemail the third time. The stopped a calling at that point. Check my messages and whatever it is that's so important for them to call me three times in a row is apparently not important enough to leave a message about. I'll be be putting them on my blocked caller list.

Why do you think WE are calling you? This is a discussion forum where one can report or describe suspicious or unknown phone calls, but reporting them here does not stop the calling. YOU have to take action to do that! (google is your friend). Consider buying a call blocker from your favorite store if nothing else works.

It's usually Microsoft two factor authentication. If you're getting calls from this number, Then either someone(could even be you) is trying to log in to your account, Or they somehow managed to add the wrong phone number to their account. Don't press the button it tells you to press, Unless you're currently trying to log in. Also don't block the number, Or you might find yourself locked out of your Microsoft account, Which IT won't like.
