Wanted detail information regarding a claim. Called on New Years Day!

Received a call from this number. Didn't answer. They left a voicemail stating it was State Farm regarding a claim. The message was for an individual other than me. I returned the call and corrected the error.

Received message from woman speaking Spanish. Entire message was in Spanish, only part I could make out was State Farm.

This is State Farm. I have an outstanding claim with them. They called without leaving a message, but as I was waiting for the call, I called back and verified. Not sure why they did not leave a message, but I told them not to make blind calls like that without leaving a message and identifying themselves, or I would assume they were telemarketers. Claims adjuster said she would note that in my file.

Got call from 'State Farm' claiming that my dad had filed a claim a few days earlier that they were following up on. They called the house number that he does not even use anymore, everything my dad does he uses his office number. I took the message and let him know about this. He had no clue what they were talking about. He was actually in his car when I called him and got out to see if there was any damage, which there wasn't. I told him to call out agents office directly instead of the number and giving them any info. He called the agent, they looked into it and there was NO CLAIM IN THE SYSTEM AT ALL FOR HIM!!

Got a call from them at 12:52 pm today.

OK, MY EXPERIENCE IS EVEN CRAZIER... THIS NUMBER CALLED ME AND LEFT A MESSAGE AND CLAIM NUMBER. I CALLED BACK AND THEY IDENTIFIED THEMSELVES AS STATE FARM CLAIMS. THEY CLAIMED THAT SOMEONE FILED A CLAIM THAT THEY HIT MY CAR A FEW DAYS AGO. MY CAR WAS IN THE GARAGE ALL WEEK THAT WEEK AND NEVER LEFT. LISTEN TO THIS... THEY SAID THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT KIND OF CAR I HAD OR MY PLATE NUMBER. WHEN I ASKED WHAT CITY WAS THIS ACCIDENT, SHE WOULDNT TELL ME. SHE SAID THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED IN THE DRIVEWAY, BUT WOULDNT SAY WHOSE DRIVEWAY OR WHERE. I TOLD HER THAT IT SOUNDS TO ME THAT SOMEONE TOOK MY NAME AND TELEPHONE NUMBER AND MADE UP A BOGUS ACCIDENT AND WANT A PAYOFF TO GO TO A FRIEND PRETENDING TO BE ME. SHE DIDNT KNOW MY ADDRESS EITHER. THIS IS MOST SUSPICIOUS TO ME. I CONTACTED MY INSURANCE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH THEM.

Logged into my State Farm account after receiving the call. Saw the same claim number they left on the answering machine online on my account. Same tele number was listed So I called back. Very pleasant call even though my son was at fault.
