Rang to say there was suspicious activity on my HSBC account. Wanted lots of details, hung up when I refused to give any details. Rang my bank and checked my account to see if they had called. They had not. Beware of this number it is one digit different to the HSBC customer services number

Scam !!!! It is not HSBC !!! I had a bad feeling when they called because they didn't ask me for security details, they just confirm it to me. so I hang up and called the actual HSBC and it wasn't them !!

Phoned me saying fraudulent transactions were happening on my HSBC CARD. I have not got an HSBC account. He was persistent and then hung up when he realised I was not going to give out information

I received call from 03457 404 044 from a person claiming to be from HSBC fraud protection services. He informed me that there had been suspicious activity on my credit card, and quoted the last 4 numbers of my card. I told him I had cancelled that credit card, as I had fallen for a Royal Mail text message scam where I provided the details of this card. He then hung up, which is when I realised this was not HSBC.

It was 21:15 and I just got a call from this number. On the first call he asked if we made a few purchases with my credit card Once he asked about our address I hung up. He called again, and this time I asked fir his number to call him back in order to verify that this is legit. He started to be rude and said that he doesn’t have a direct number. That is when I decided to hang up the call.

HSBC bank apparently, JUSTEAT payment taken of £200

This number called me today and pretend to be fraud team from my bank.

Credit card company fraud trying to get us to log into our internet banking. Turns out they had already masked our card. DO NOT TRUST NORE GIVE ANY INFO OUT. They will try and prove validity of the call by asking you to check the phone number on the back of your card, utter scam as they’ve masked the number.

Claiming to be HSBC very wary

Called claiming to be HSBC. I hung up. They tried again. I did not answer.

I was scammed out of £3400 on Sat from this number. Don't know how these people sleep at night. Just hang up I wish I had.

This is ALMOST the same number as the HSBC fraud line.I had a call from this number saying they were HSBC Fraud, and that I was going to get a text from them immediatly to confirm my identity before they could continue, could I read back the 6 digit number.....the text DID come, but it was HSBCUKPASCD to give me a 6 digit number to authorise a payment.!!!! S C A M !!!! Cancel your card immediately, if this happens to you. Someone has your details & associated phone number. Double trouble!

I answered the call and there was automated message which said I missed a call from HSBC

Had call from this number telling us we have had fraudulent activity on our account and we need to change account details. When challenged and we informed them we would go around to our bank (HSBC) to complete they hung up. Phoned HSBC and they confirmed it was a scam

Another in a series of three. Clumsy chap reading from the same script, citing the usual fictitious charges at MotherCare in Manchester (same amounts, even). Claims to be from our bank. Did have the last 4 card digits correct, worryingly. Our bank confirms no suspicious activity. MotherCare, is no longer trading. These idiots need a new script.
