I suspect this is a scammer number disguised as genuine HSBC number. A call from this number sounded exactly the same as some previous scam call which trick me into giving them the last ten digits of my credit card number and then fooled me to give them the one time passcode to consent to a transaction.

had an automated american accent say i had to pay or warrant for my arrest i said come round for a cup off tea and we can fight it out ( he didnt see the funny side of it ) and called me back on 0800 788887 and got very abusive with me . tax man not exactly number one on my list of people to annoy but im pretty sure this is not him

as above. Electronic American accent voice saying HMRC and there was a case of tax fraud with an outstanding warrant. Press 1 to talk to HMRC official. At which point I hung up. HMRC never phones. And if it did, it would not use an electronic voice with an American accent. Have blocked the number from my phone.

A man who said that he is from HSBC called. He said that there is a suspicious card transaction, before stopping that, I have to provide some details to prove that I am the account holder. I received a lettet from HRMC with this number 03453003900 . The letter was requesting for an over paid tax return of year 2009-2010 which i had already paid. But when i called to talk to someone it just rung once and it sounded as if it was answered but no one was talking, all i could hear was a funny sound going on in the back ground. I sensed there was something not right and i hung up.
