Just had a really clever scam from this number. They sent a text saying that I had a suspicious transaction on my account. Then asked for a load of my details. Don't answer any calls from this number. I don't believe Halifax will ever call you.

A genuine Halifax number that has been spoofed by scammers and now being used for various frauds. I don't know if Halifax still uses it but be careful if you get a call from this one.

I suspect this is a scammer number disguised as genuine HSBC number. A call from this number sounded exactly the same as some previous scam call which trick me into giving them the last ten digits of my credit card number and then fooled me to give them the one time passcode to consent to a transaction.
