I had a text from this number asking me to text TALK. Instead, I checked my account online and found nothing untoward.

I got a text saying there was a transaction on my MBNA credit card from this number.

This was actually MBNA. They blocked my cards as a merchant I had used had its systems compromised. They couldn’t tell me which merchant over the phone (very annoyingly).

I received a text to my mobile saying my card was about to be blocked. I went on the internet and logged into my account and had a chat with MBNA. The message was genuine. My card has been stopped and new cards will be sent to me. They could not tell me how my card details had been obtained by a third party, but had spotted fraudulent activity.

This is genuinely from MBNA. I rang them (using the number on the back of my card) and they confirmed that I had used my card at a merchant who had been compromised. They don't get a list of the merchants, just the cards affected.

i received a test saying about my MBNA transaction.

Sent text to my mobile which I know MBNA have not got on their files. I'm presuming this is a scam to get me to reveal my personal details.

i got a text from this number too re fraudulent card activity. I have contacted MBNA main customer services and they confirm that it is legitimate correspondence.

I had a text today from this number asking me to reply urgently regarding a transaction from my MBNA account. This is a phishing scam?

I got a message from Virgin Atlantic Credit Card. They said somebody in Las Vegas had used my Credit Card. I'm based in London, UK.

I received text similar to all above when I called the number back from a land line it says it does not exist?

After receiving the message, which i though it was a scam, I tried the credit card and it worked!! They told me it was blocked, so defo a scam. Delete at once

I recieved a text saying my card credit ending in ( last 4 didgits of that card ) was being stopped due to it being at risk from fraud .Any queries to text RING and they would call me back. I don't actually use this card hence it being at home so at this time am assuming its my MBNA card , which is only a couple of months old as they took over the Virgin credit card.
