this is absolutely genuine - just done it and they were checking because transactions were higher than normal as its christmas and ive been spending

Definitely a scam, I got a text msg exactly the same as comments below, before I know it my bank's fraud team had contacted me regarding spending some money in India, went through normal process of new card etc, so be aware these scumbags are out there to steal from people!

It is used by RBS and Netwest fraud team. it is genuine. I have confirmed with bank staff.

07/03/2018 - Genuine RBS fraud team. Was sent a short list of transactions not carried out by me which was followed up with a call from them (a human, not automated) listing even more transactions. Advised my card will be cancelled and replaced and all monies will be refunded.

Royal Bank of Scotland fraud team. Genuine message ( I rang and checked)

I got the Caffe Nero App an when it was connected to my RBS card they took 2p to check it was working. RBS thought this was not my usual sort of purchase so they blocked it and messaged me on this number.Hence the number 07860020943 is a genuine RBS credit card telephone number

Just ring your bank! I do not understand why there are so many comments on here that contradict each other I rang about 90 percent sure this was a scam and was very surprised to find out it was genuine. It's quite simple, RING YOUR BANK!

Genuine text from Natwest cards fraud team, checking that recent transactions are legit. I was sceptical initially, because I didn't recognise the purchases, all of which were uk ladies clothing websites made in a 30min spree, and I was in NL on business at time of receiving text. Turned out to be my wife splurging on some Cyber Monday bargains! Busted! While the cat's away...😏

Can’t stress too strongly how genuine this is. The number belongs to Natwest and RBS. If you get a message ring the number on the back of your card. This message just saved me losing hundreds of pounds.

This is a genuine RBS Fraud line number as verified by a phone call this morning to the number on the back of my card.

just repeating some of the comments already made, I received a text from Nat West telling me about recent transactions on my card. As I do not bank with Nat West it didn't take a genius to suspect it was a scam :-) A second text then listed the declined and approved transactions asking me to reply Y or N if I recognised them or not. Needless to say I did not respond

this is a complete fraud case. I dont have credit card with netwest, yet I got text message saying that my credit card is used for hotel.com!!God knows from where theses bustards r running the scam..

I had a text message from this number this morning and it was followed up by an automated phone call, both from RBS. After reading comments on here I was sceptical so phoned RBS direct. It would appear that the information given in both the text and the phone message were genuine. It would be helpful if comments were only made on sites such as this when people definitely know them to be genuine or not.
