Yes - this is genuine from Tesco - alerting suspected fraud. This is the 2nd time in 18 months my card with them has been compromised.

Don't know wether to answer or not very conflicting answer s when I check on line

Text from Tesco bank identifying a fraud on my credit card and advising all future texts will be from this number - then a text detailing a transaction and requiring a Y or N response.

Text from Tesco saying they had identified suspected fraud of £1 on my card2nd text asking to confirm Y or N if I agreed the amount and person of payment I had made Then when i replied N . they replied this is not a valid response , i replied 4 times at 14p a text costing 56p in total. Still they replied this is not a valid response ????

Just had the txt about fraudulent transactions from this number, rang the number on the back of the card and they confirmed it was from them.

They want to ask me to set up an account for some trading thing. And they call about 2 times a day from different mobile phone numbers.

Also tesco fraud service. Phoned back customer services using number on the back of my card and they confirmed it was them. I raised that in my account I have a password that is supposed to appear at the start if the text. No real answer to that, but it seems ok. My card has been used fraudulently so am having it replaced.

Have had the text from tesco credit card on this number. Called the number on the back of my card and this is tesco. They were brilliant and my card is now stopped and a new one on the way. Good service. I NEVER text back on anything. Always call.

Yes, Tesco checking on a genuine transaction.

I had the same problem but I was abroad and the texts cost me 0.35 each. When I spoke to Tesco, they knew nothing about the number, or any problem on my card. Interestingly, my wife had made a purchase of the type the text mentioned, but I got the message. How could that happen? We have completely separate accounts with Tesco. She changed her card. Mine seems OK

I have now rung Tesco Bank and it appears to be genuine - this is a new method of contacting you if they suspect a fraud.
